You are here because your city has officially joined the Hopeful Cities Movement.
This training is designed to help you become a certified Hopeful Cities® Ambassador, equipped to bring the science and skills of Hope into your community.
Hopeful Cities is a global initiative working to activate Hope at the community level across:
- schools
- workplaces
- healthcare systems
- local organizations
- public spaces
As an Ambassador, you play a key role in helping your city build a stronger, more resilient future.
What This Training Includes
This is a 30-minute training course designed to give you the tools to begin activating Hope immediately.
In this course, you will receive:
- A short video training on how to activate Hope in your city
- An introduction to the science of Hope and the Hope Matrix
- Practical strategies to engage your community
- Guidance on how to use your city-specific Ambassador Quick Guide
- A certification assessment to confirm your understanding
What You’ll Be Able to Do
After completing the training, you will be able to:
- introduce others to the science and skills of Hope
- share Hope resources in your community
- engage workplaces, schools, and organizations
- support local Hopeful Cities initiatives
- help amplify the International Day of Hope (July 12)
Certification
At the end of the course, you will complete a short assessment.
- A score of 80 percent or higher is required to pass
- You may retake the assessment as many times as needed
Once completed, you will receive:
- your Hopeful Cities® Ambassador Certificate
- a digital Ambassador badge to share on LinkedIn and social media

This training is available only to individuals in cities that have licensed the Hopeful Cities program.
